While we are deeply concerned about the ash falling in the Bariloche and Villa La Angostura area, which is a matter of public knowledge, we have been fortunate in that the recent geological events have had very little effect in the Malleo area. Although we had some thin, slow falling ash on Monday, heavy rain followed and melted it quickly into the soil. Also, there was no wind to blow it around, so luckily we suffered no damage to our equipment or facilities.
The picture shown was taken by Ronnie Olsen on the morning of Wednesday June 8th. As is evident our gardens, buildings and trees are thankfully free of ash.
We deeply appreciate calls and e-mails received by guests and friends asking about our situation. Thank you very much.
